Inspired by Kerala – God’s own country


We’ve taken the essence and vibrancy of Kerala – India’s mountainous tropical state carpeted with tea, coffee and spice plantations – as the inspiration for an exciting new range of handcrafted beers available to the UK market. Komban will hold true to its vision of being an inspired craft beer with an authentic feel in order to become a favourite brew selection for the London restaurant scene.

Lager

Komban Indian Lager has a smooth refreshing crispy finish. Also has a special ingredient – Kerala Matta rice. It is an Indian variety of rice grown in the western ghats. It was considered a royal food by Chera Kingdom..

A unique beer brewed to perfection to accompany Indian Cuisine, which is smooth, crisp and above all refreshing, thus making it a fantastic way to wash down a curry and is a great accompaniment for lamb, beef and game dishes

Lager

Our Komban Premium Black Lager (5.1%) has a crisp, refreshingly aromatic flavour profile with a snappy and dry finish. Although the hop profile is milder than that of our Komban Blonde, the underlying mild floral aroma makes it a perfect pairing for the spicier foods and curries typical of South India.

Slightly bitter with a caramel sweetness, our lager pairs well with the flavours of delicately herbed chicken and pork.
Shellfish such as fresh oysters work well in combination with the lager’s palate-cleansing qualities.

Blonde

Our collaboration with master brewers has blossomed into Komban Blonde (4.6%) – a bright, semi-dry, golden brew with strong undertones of orange and clove and an afterthought of mild pepper. It pairs superbly with lighter dishes and, in particular, the seafood dishes that are so popular in Kerala.

Komban Blonde also boasts a touch of Madeira cake sweetness. An ideal complement to a variety of European dishes, it pairs equally well with robust flavours like red meat dishes and ripened cheeses such as Brie or Camembert.
